Nashville Opera Pop-Up at the Frist

Join the Nashville Opera at the Frist Art Museum for arias from Jacques Offenbach’s Tales of Hoffmann (Les Contes d’Hoffmann). The opera, a fantastical thrill ride that follows a tortured artist’s quest for love, premiered in Paris during the time that many of the works in the exhibition Van Gogh, Monet, Degas, and Their Times: The Mellon Collection of French Art from the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts were painted. This pop-up performance will feature various Nashville Opera artists, including Chelsea Friedlander, who stars as Olympia.
