Coming Soon: A Midsummer Night’s Dream
“The course of true love never did run smooth.” Magic, mischief, and moonlight fill the Athenian forest in this joyful tangle of love, laughter, and theatrical mayhem. When mischievous fairies meddle with runaway lovers and an unsuspecting troupe of amateur actors, dreams blur with reality and anything can happen. Full of wonder, whimsy, and enchantment, A Midsummer Night’s Dream is the Nashville Shakespeare Festival at its most playful, and is accompanied by food trucks, concessions, and bar service (Yazoo’s Shakesbeer returns)! Besides the play itself, many nights include the options of attending one of the Jackson Insight Lecture Series and the pre-show concerts.
A Midsummer Night’s Dream will take place at the Centennial Park Bandshell each weekend August 20-September 20. This event is pay-what-you-will (with a suggested donation of $20). For information on parking and other general questions, see their FAQ Page.
