God of Carnage
Originally in French, and winning the 2009 Tony Award for Best Play, God of Carnage is a biting comedy about the civilized trappings of parenthood. One evening two Brooklyn couples meet to discuss a playground incident. Alan and Annette’s son hit Michael and Veronica’s son in the face with a stick, resulting in two broken teeth. The four of them agree to discuss the incident civilly, but, as the night wears on and drinks are imbibed, the polite veneer breaks down and spouses begin to switch sides.
Playhouse 615 will perform God of Carnage at their theater in Mt. Juliet May 1-17, see here for tickets and more information.
