At L&L Market
Pop in for Pop-Up Shakespeare!
It’s impossible to live in Nashville and not be a fan of the Nashville Shakespeare Festival. I’m especially fond of their pop-up shows in delightful Nashville locations, and I’m so happy they’re bringing them back! Pop-Up Shakespeare brings the Bard to unexpected corners of Nashville — coffee shops, breweries, bookstores, and all kinds of neighborhood hangouts. These one-night-only, fast-paced staged readings feature Nashville theatre talent in a stripped-down, story-forward format that highlights Shakespeare’s language, humor, and heart.
There will be three pop-up shows this season, doing different plays in different locations. The first is at L&L Market (home of delicious restaurants like Kardes and PennePazze). This performance will be the farce The Comedy of Errors, perhaps Shakespeare’s earliest comedy, which features not one, but two sets of identical twins, who keep on getting confused with one another.
Check out The Comedy of Errors on Saturday, April 18th. Click here for tickets and more information.
