Coming Soon: Rosa
The Chilean company TeatroCinema brings its acclaimed production Rosa to Nashville, combining live performance, film, and animation in a visually distinctive style that plays out like a graphic novel on stage. Known for their inventive blend of theater and cinematic technique, the company uses striking visuals to explore complex stories through an innovative lens.
The multimedia production follows Rosa as her life flashes before her eyes, intertwining personal memories with Chile’s turbulent history from the 1970s to 2019. The audience follows Rosa as she revisits her life during decades of political unrest and revolt that led to the nation’s new constitution. With an inventive blend of theater and cinematic technique, Rosa explores themes of love, resilience, and remembrance.
